Hello dear friends,
It’s lovely to be in touch again.
I do hope you are keeping warm and well.
With the windy weather we’ve been having, Rumi’s words came to mind. He said “forget not that the wind longs to play with your hair”. Up here on the Blackdown Hills the wind is way more playful, I felt jet propelled across the fields this morning. I barely kept up with myself!
I had aimed to get in touch 4 or 5 weeks ago, but due to the poorliness of my very dear old dad, all my doing was put on hold. Sadly my dad has now passed on, or as dad would have warmly put it, he has met his thermodynamic equilibrium!
(as a scientist, dad connected deeply with quantum physics) x
So now after a pause, I’m gently moving forwards again.
Practicing self care, through my TRE, Yoga and Meditation has enabled me to be comfortable with the meeting of ‘all this’. It has been a blessing.
And as dad said after each visit to his bedside…”now..you go off and enjoy yourself”….so with his guidance and encouragement… I will. x
Happily there’s lots new to share in 2019.
Filming a Short Documentary on TRE
I’m delighted that BBC Television Producer Ian Potts has kindly offered to film a short documentary on TRE with me. Ian and his wife Jill experienced the alchemy of TRE during our Mallorcan retreat. If you would like to share your TRE story on how TRE has supported your healing journey and be part of this documentary, please do get in touch. Ian will be aiming to shoot this in the early part of 2019.
8 week Supervised MBSR Mindfulness Course Beginning in January 2019
I have been expanding my own personal mindfulness practice over the past years and am deeply nourished by this practice as I follow the Teacher Training pathway via Bangor University in MBSR Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction. This course follows the highly effective, robustly researched and endorsed programme developed by Dr Jon Kabat Zinn and David Williams of Oxford University. I’m so excited to be sharing this with you.
As my course is leading to an MA in MBSR, my journey as a teacher is being mentored and supervised. Although I have been teaching meditation for some years, my first 8 week MBSR course will be….well…my first!
So as a fledgling MBSR ‘teacher in training’. I would like to invite those who are interested in developing a mindfulness practice and who have experienced my way of teaching, maybe through past workshops, retreats or classes to get in touch if you’d like to attend the course. All I request is a donation to cover the room hire and course material…. And most importantly your commitment to ‘yourself’ to attend every week for 8 weeks plus an 1 day silent retreat which is part of this course.
The course will be held in Exeter at Exeter Natural Health Centre on Tuesday afternoons between 12.00 and 14.00 starting on Tuesday 22nd January.

If you are curious about joining the 8 week MBSR Course you are invited to come to a 2 hour taster to really understand what the MBSR course involves in terms of your time and your commitment. It is a wonderful course that offers you a new way of meeting the world but it begins with your commitment to yourself.
