This retreat invites you to be slow. Gifting yourself time to pause, swim, sit and listen to life.
Each day will begin with a gentle practice before breakfast. The day will be relaxed and easy. Choosing perhaps to walk the beautiful landscape, swim in the lake or rest in a hammock.
In the early evening we will welcome you to join a nourishing practice before gathering for dinner.
This retreat is an opportunity to step out of the mode of constant doing, moving to a place of simply being.
The Schloss is a relaxing home away from home where one can wander along the river, taking in the mountain peaks and enjoying the feel of the fresh breeze.
In summer time the surrounding hills come alive and allow us to easily connect with nature during valley walking, wild swimming, picnics beside waterfalls or meditating in woodland clearings.
Schloss Schneeberg began as a castle, built in the late 1200’s & first documented in 1297. Literally translated Schneeberg is ‘snow mountain’ and having burnt down many centuries ago, the two houses that you now see were rebuilt with one of the original castle towers remaining giving the house its distinct image.
Are a father & daughter team who love the great outdoors. The Schloss is their home and has been in their family for more than 200 years, together they have created something very unique and special.
With a love of the mountains and this area, they are passionate about sharing their knowledge and experience of the area opening their very special home to us for a personal and restorative experience.
Schloss Schneeberg is a traditional yet unique Austrian house, part of a country estate, which dates back to the 13th century, the Schloss is steeped in history.
As a family residence, it has retained a homely, welcoming feel and its age is reflected in the antiques, paintings, wooden floors & traditional furniture. Ample and warm spaces, filled with character and stories encourage guests to make them feel at home.
Set in the picturesque Tyrolean farming town of Trins at 1,223m above sea level, Schloss Schneeberg is only 25 minutes from Innsbruck and 20km from the Brenner Pass into Italy.
Trins is a lovely village; peaceful, tranquil and filled with natural beauty as well as being one of the sunniest spots in the Wipptal area. Within the village there are restaurants that offer superb traditional Austrian food.
With stunning views of the surrounding mountains & village of Trins, the tower is an incredibly unique & special feature of the house where breakfast is served on the circular table in summer and one can relax in the afternoon sun.
The exposed beam studio is where we will gather for our practices. Yoga mats, blocks, straps and blankets are available for you to use throughout the retreat whether during a session or if you just want to practice alone. Views of the mountains and the incredible quiet make this a wonderful and healing space.
Each of the five bedrooms is completely unique & beautifully styled, all with original furniture & artwork. We have three ensuite rooms and two with shared bathroom. All rooms have lovely views and are filled with natural light as well as little extras like fluffy bathrobes.
The large dining room and living spaces provide ample room and comfy seating for you to enjoy being together or the possibility of finding a quiet space for yourself.
Skye’s food is sensational. Seasonal, organic, local and foraged. Skye creates both delicious and visually stunning combinations bringing together European, Middle Eastern and Asian influences.
